Revived Reverence: Knocked Loose’s Electrifying Return to White Oak Music Hall

Heavy riffs and gut-wrenching screams filled the intimate space of White Oak Music Hall as Knocked Loose returned to Houston with a vengeance. Whether you were downstairs or on the balcony, every person in the venue was jumping or throwing fists, contributing to a mosh pit that never let up.

The band set themselves apart tonight with an intoxicating stage presence. They opened their set from behind a curtain, adding to the energy, and as soon as it dropped, the whole place erupted. Performing one of their newly released singles, “Blinding Faith,” the audience got a taste of the vibe that would continue for the rest of the night.

With fans eagerly awaiting a new album for nearly 5 years, the anticipation was palpable. Knocked Loose did not disappoint, ensuring that the wait was worth it with their new music, which was as heavy as their early work from a decade ago. Bryan Garris’ vocal performance was a testament to his ferocity and vocal growth.

Their upcoming album, “You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To,” features a cover with a crucifix constructed out of lights. For their set design, they included the crucifix on stage just behind the band, evoking a sense of being in church or listening to Bryan’s sermon.

Knocked Loose fans of every stature made sure to bring their A-game when the band played “Counting Worms,” causing the entire place to erupt into barking during one of the song’s parts. This is a testament to how iconic the band has grown and how fun their shows can be. An intense but intimate energy, this show provided a safe space for people to enjoy their favorite music and let loose.
