There was dust in the air but festival go-ers persisted for day two of Austin City Limits Music Festival.

Lorde delivers a memorable performance

A year ago, Lorde started the world tour for her new album, “Virgin” in Austin and on her second weekend headlining ACL —  in a full circle moment —concluded the tour.

The New Zealand singer and songwriter started the show with a shortened version of “Royals” and then continued with “What was that” and “Broken Glass” from her latest album.

The setlist on Saturday included songs from all four albums by the singer. Fan favorites such as, “The Louvre,” “Green Light” and “Oceanic Feeling” were among the songs the singer performed today.

Lorde first performed at ACL in 2014 during the “Pure Heroin” era and closed out her headlining set with an energetic and unforgettable performance of “Ribs.”

Be on the lookout for more on Lorde’s performance (its simply impossible to capture her set in a recap).

The Bleachers took the “Sad out of the Saturday at ACL”

The American rock band, formed in 2013 in New Jersey, by singer-songwriter and producer Jack Antonoff, best known for producing music, took the T-Mobile stage for a per-headliner show on Saturday.

The six-piece band – including two saxophones – brought a joyous performance with songs such as “Don’t Take the Money,” “How Dare You Want More” and “Rollercoaster.”

Recalling how he initially wrote the song, Antonoff, played a stripped down version of the fan-favorite song “I Wanna Get Better.” And then swiftly moved onto, “Merry Christmas, please don’t call,”which frontman Antonoff says is not about the holiday at all.

The band ended their hour-long energetic set with “I Wanna Get Better” and on stage Antonoff changed into a “Talarico for Texas” shirt.

More on festival grounds

Across the festival grounds, on the American Express stage, Lola Young delivered a lively performance with “Post Sex Clarity,” “SPIDERS” and concluded the show with  fan favorite “Messy.”

Earlier in the day, Suki Waterhouse, on tour for her latest album “Loveland” brought bohemian energy to the crowd. She played “Weirdo,” “Notting Hill,” and “When I Get Drunk (I Want You Boy).”

The British singer-songwriter and actress closed out her set with “To Love” from her 2022 album, “Memoir of a Sparklemuffin”

Young Miko, Ryan Beatty, Finn Wolfhard, Montclair and Don West were some of the other artists that performed on Saturday.
