Wiz Smokes Out The Woodlands Pavilion

Saturday August 6 was a beautiful day in the Woodland, the parks were filled with families spending their last weeks of summer vacation, enjoying time outside. Some even decided to come out and spend it with co-headliners Logic and Wiz Khalifa on their Vinyl Verse tour at the Woodlands Pavilion!

To get the party going Logic delivered an amazing performance, the crowd was definitely feeling him. Logic’s songs feature rapid-paced flow alongside an articulate and complex set of lyrics that the crowd had been anticipating. “It all started when I was just working my last job at a fucking Wing Stop. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s impossible.” Logic explained to the crowd. Logic’s set continued with a nice mix of new and old tracks, and nothing but love from the audience the whole set.

As we got later into the evening, a peculiar aroma began taking over the pavilion as the crowd prepared for the second act of the night, Mister Cap himself, Wiz Khalifa. “Are y’all ready to smoke with Wiz Khalifa?!?!?” DJ Drama began shouting to the audience and was met with cheers and roars. Khalifa is regarded as one of the most prolific endorsers of recreational marijuana, and many of his fans are also known to partake it the consumption of cannabis so, it was no surprise that as DJ Drama hyped the crowd up people began to throw what appeared to be handfuls of joints into the audience.

“If you’re here with your best friends tonight give me another shout!” As the anticipation almost became too much, the lights dimmed and from a platform appeared Wiz Khalifa himself! The grand entrance was amazing! With joint in hand, looking like a real rockstar, Khalifa rose up with his microphone stand, wearing a velour outfit, and immediately went in with the hits.

When I say Wiz is a rockstar, I mean it. His persona is that of a modern day Axel Rose, with extravagant confidence and amazing audience control, full bands and top tier stage production you never feel like your at rap show. Wiz always seems to encourage peace, love, and positivity and if you get to experience one of his Wiz show in your life, you’ll be met with good vibes from concert goers around you and nothing but a great evening filled with acceptance and quite possibly a contact high!
