Austin City Limits music festival, an Austin staple, is back for weekend two with a clear sky and sunny days!
This year, ACL is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Since 2002, Zilker Park in Austin, Texas has hosted over 130 artists and 225,000 festival goers at ACL over two consecutive weekends in October. The festival grounds fill yearly with many musical guests, food and other entertainment options. This year, Space City Frequency will be covering Weekend Two of the festival.

Here is a snapshot of what to expect from this weekend:
Musical Performances
Over the weekend, artists across many genres and languages will take various states through Zilker Park. Charlie XCX, Lorde, Twenty-one Pilots, The XX, Rüfüs Du Sol are the headliners for this year. Kings of Leon are also one of the headliners exclusively for weekend two.
Artists such as The Chainsmokers, Lola Young, Suki Waterhouse, Leon Thomas and The Bleachers will be performing across multiple stages this weekend.
Upcoming artists such as Paris Pamola, Joshua Jensen and Jesse Welles will also perform this year. Additionally, Natasha Bedingfield, Houndmouth, Bella Kay and Sienna Spiro are some artists exclusive to weekend two.
ACL Extras
Everything is bigger in Texas and this is especially true for the offerings at ACL. This music festival offers fest-goers, “ACL Eats” and “ACL Sweets,” a chance for everyone to enjoy a variety of food items from local and chain vendors.
Local Austin BBQ, Asian and Mexican restaurants are among many vendors featured at “ACL Eats.” For festivalgoers with a sweet tooth, “ACL Sweets” features ice creams, cookies, pies and more from various vendors.
The festival caters to dietary restrictions and offers gluten free options, as well as vegan and vegetarian meals.
To make the festival a more accessible experience, “Austin Kiddie Limits” allows parents to leave their kids in the play area filled with kid friendly activities. This year, the festival will also have a dedicated family entry option to make it smoother for families to enter.
Additionally, “Bonus Tracks” at ACL will feature multiple artists and activities. Schedule to be updated later.
There are photobooths, VIP lounges and multiple picture-perfect areas throughout the festival grounds.
The heat is no joke in Texas, so stay hydrated and bring a reusable water bottle, there are hydration stations all over festival grounds.
Festival grounds will remain cashless thanks to American Express. Wristbands can be used for on-site purchases, as well as credit and debit cards.
Hulu will be streaming the entire weekend for a fourth year in a row and subscribers can stream the live performances at no extra cost.
