The Avett Brothers Rock the Lawn at WOMH

It was nice evening out on the lawn At White Oak Music Hall on Tuesday evening, March 3rd, 2022. The lineup consisted of an evening with The Avett Brother and Shovel and Rope.

Opening the show was Shovels and Rope which is a two-piece band from Charleston, South Carolina that is a made up of husband and wife, Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst. I was completely blown away by how amazing their performance was last night. Thier sound has a total rock and roll vibe with a raw emotional alt country grit sound. Whatever you do, don’t miss this band next time they come through Houston. I’m already waiting for them to come back.

The Avett Brothers, a duo band from Concord, North Carolina that is composed of brothers, Seth Avett and Scott Avett, took the stage. Their sound has such diverse range that draws from folk, blues, country, and rock and roll. It was an outstanding and amazing show. The brothers had such high energy on stage with gentle emotional moments with their powerful lyrics that brought tears to my eyes.

Overall, both bands were so remarkable and brought their own unique thoughtful sounds to the stage for the fans to experience. I love that I can’t stop feeling this positive energy that is still with me from the show last night. I hope I was able to convey that feeling into the images I photographed.
