Heavy metal band The Amity Affliction is hitting the road in celebration of ‘Let the Ocean Take Me’ turning 10! The Aussie hometown heroes are accompanied by their metalcore counterparts: the electrifying Dying Wish, the captivating Currents, and the powerhouse Mugshot.
The Mugshot performance kicked off the night with an incredible burst of energy. But let me tell you, Dying Wish took things to a whole new level. Their sound blew me away—I hadn’t expected them to be that good. Then there’s Currents, a band I’d heard about but never really listened to until now. Their blend of heavy riffs and infectious melodies totally won me over.
As soon as The Amity Affliction took the stage, it was evident that they owned the crowd. The atmosphere shifted, and you could feel the connection pulsating between the band and their devoted fans. People were letting loose in a way that only comes from years of bonding over a band’s music, fueled by a few cold ones. It was a level of passion and energy that elevated the entire experience beyond the usual concert response. The Amity Affliction brought this sense of unity that made everyone feel like part of something bigger. The band is known for its melancholy lyrics but the crowd was far from sad at the House of Blues, as everyone jumped up and down and screamed the air out of their lungs.
Make sure you mark your calendar for this tour. It’s going to be one hell of a show, and you won’t want to kick yourself later for missing out. Check out the dates and catch them live when they roll into town!
