Summer Walker Gives Houston Two Sold out Shows

Fans gathered at 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas on March 19th and 20th to welcome summer walker on her self titled tour.

As 7:00pm approached, the line forming outside of 713 music hall grew larger, louder and the anticipation was heavy. Fans were heard screaming lyrics from Summer’s latest album release “still over it”.

The show started with the performance of “Constant Bullshit” which had all the feels in the air. Summer came out on an elevated stage with a clear view of her from all angles. With a screen for visuals right below her, it was a great view no matter where you were seated.

After a couple of songs from her latest album, Summer began to perform hits from her record “Over it” that ruled the entire year of 2019. This is when fans began to scream lyrics at the top of their lungs and let all their emotions come into the air through the performance. “Over it,” “Body,” “Playing Games,” and “I’ll kill you,” were at the peak of this set. Pink screen visuals and Summer’s sparkling outfit set the tone and matched the energy from these songs, and fans were all for it.

As the show continued, Summer showed fans her flawless musical talent through a very personal performance of “Session 32.” Summer came down from the elevated stage to the bottom closer to the crowd. A chair was set in the middle of the stage, and as Summer arrived her guitar was handed to her. She began with soft vocals into this intimate song and played her guitar through it. As the anticipation and emotion grew from the lyrics, her amazing unmatched vocals were displayed and had fans in complete awe. From this performance, it was shown how personal this song was for Summer, and fans appreciated her for sharing this beautiful moment. Throughout the song there was no visuals behind her, just a spotlight and complete focus was upon her.

Midway through the set, fans were surprised with a guest appearance by Monica Denise. The R&B star performed hit songs “So gone,” “You should’ve known better,” and “love all over me.” The venue was filled with screams and fans were heard saying they were witnessing an R&B legend. It was a truly amazing experience for Houston.

After guest performances and an outfit change, Summer came back to set full of energy and ready to finish an already amazing show. She began with hit songs “Girls Need Love,” “CPR,” “Unloyal,” and ended an almost two hour set with “No Love.”

Summer Walker has not performed in Houston since 2019, and Houston welcomed her with two sold out unforgettable shows.
