Remi Wolf’s concert at White Oak Music Hall, part of her “The Big Ideas” tour, was a wild ride from start to finish. The show was originally set to take place on the lawn stage, which had everyone excited, especially since the weather was perfect for an outdoor concert. However, we were moved to the venue’s downstairs room due to unknown circumstances. While this made for a much more intimate and packed setting—where it was hard to move—it didn’t dampen her fans’ enthusiasm. In fact, the packed room seemed to heighten the energy, and as soon as Remi hit the stage, it was clear she was ready to give it her all.
Opening with “Cherries & Cream,” Remi immediately commanded the stage. She was bouncing around, kicking, and making direct eye contact with the crowd, creating an electric atmosphere. Her performance was non-stop energy, full of dancing, and despite all her movement, her vocals were flawless, hitting every note perfectly. A fun surprise during the show was when she busted out a cover of “Life Is a Highway,” putting her own quirky, playful spin on it. But things got even crazier when she asked the crowd for a random word to improvise a song. The winning word? “Foreskin.” In true Remi style, she turned it into a hilarious and catchy tune on the spot, proving she can turn anything into a memorable moment.
Despite the cramped quarters, Remi’s fans were fully engaged, feeding off her infectious energy. She’s the kind of performer who sounds even better live than on her records, which is rare. If you ever get the chance to experience her live, don’t miss it! Her energy, talent, and ability to connect with her audience make her a must-see performer, and this show was a testament to that.
Until next time, Remi <3
