Mexican Pop Star, Fey Delivers Energetic Performance in Houston

Last night brought a wave of nostalgia to Houston’s House of Blues as Fey delighted the crowd with her greatest hits, joined by a group of dancers and adorned in vibrant, captivating attire.

Fey is a Mexican singer, songwriter, and actress who rose to prominence in the late 1990s as one of the leading figures in Latin pop music. Born María Fernanda Blázquez Gil on July 21, 1973, in Mexico City, she adopted the stage name “Fey” for her music career. Fey gained widespread popularity with her debut album “Tierna La Noche” in 1996. Throughout her career, she has released several successful albums and singles, earning her a dedicated fanbase across Latin America and beyond.

The lights dimmed low and fog started to fill the stage, causing the crowd to chant “Fey! Fey! Fey!” welcoming the pop star and her dancers to the stage. Fey wore a beautiful silver fitted jumpsuit which glistened under the stage lights and a pair of crystal booties that bore the inscription “DO YA THING” in black font. Throughout the show, Fey showcased a variety of different outfits that complemented the themes of her music for each set and evoked nostalgia for her iconic performances in the 90s. She wore a gorgeous black and red gown, a blue and pink metallic jacket with black bottoms, a hot pink jumpsuit, a nude dress with white arrangements resembling the human skeleton, and a tulle dress topped with a black leather jacket. Each outfit brought Fey’s performances to life.

Despite Fey’s decades-long presence in the industry, her youthful energy still shines brightly on stage. It was truly heartening to witness hundreds of people of different generations singing and dancing enthusiastically to Fey’s music, particularly to her timeless hits such as “Muevelo,” “La Fuerza Del Destino,” and “Media Naranja.” However, the most exhilarating moment of the night occurred when Fey performed “Azucar Amargo,” and the entire venue joined Fey for an encore.

Experiencing the enduring love that Houston holds for Fey and her music, even after decades, was incredibly touching. Check out our full gallery below!
