Messi-less Inter Miami Dominate in Houston

On Sunday, March 2, 2025 MLS nobility Inter Miami CF faced off with Houston Dynamo FC at Shell Energy Stadium. Fans were disappointed to learn that Lionel Messi, Miami’s star player, would not be in attendance. Still, Houston struggled throughout, scoring their one and only goal in the 85th minute, Dynamo midfielder Nico Lodeiro’s first goal for the club, assisted by Erik Dueñas.

Inter Miami played an aggressive game, scoring their first goal just six minutes in, when Telasco Segovia, with help from legendary striker Luis Suárez. The team’s dominance continued in the 37th minute when Tadeo Allende drove the ball into the box, ultimately scoring. Miami’s third goal was scored by Segovia during first-half stoppage time, followed by a forth and final goal by Luis Suárez in minute 79.
