María Zardoya is stepping out on her own and hitting the road under her solo project, Not for Radio. She just announced a new tour, Not for Radio Presents: Winter in the Garden, celebrating her debut solo album Melt. The run will stop at cozy theaters in California, Texas, New York, and Illinois. Fans can sign up for presale access starting November 3, with tickets going on sale to the public November 7 at 10 a.m. local time.
Melt dropped on October 10 and came out strong, debuting at No. 13 on the Billboard 200, her highest chart debut yet. Rolling Stone praised the album as a rich, winding journey focused on growth, healing, and nature. Zardoya also recently released a self-directed music video for “Swan,” which she co-directed with CJ Harvey.
Outside of her solo work, Zardoya, who fronts the Marías, recently sat down with Role Model (aka Tucker Pillsbury) for Rolling Stone’s Musicians on Musicians at New York’s Beacon Theatre. While reflecting on the Marías’ breakout 2024 track “No One Noticed,” she admitted she never expected it to blow up the way it did, calling it “kind of an anti-hit.”
