Last night, ITZY lit up the Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land with a performance that left fans buzzing. This being their second appearance at the venue, the K-pop group promised a night of unforgettable live music and delivered just that.
The show began with ITZY making a dazzling entrance in black and red sparkle sets. Kicking off the night with “BORN TO BE”, they were joined by multiple background dancers, amplifying the energy right from the start. The four members’ insane choreography set the tone for an evening of high-octane performances.
Following their opening song, they transitioned into “RACER” and “KIDDING ME”, with the crowd erupting each time a favorite member took the stage. During a talking segment, ITZY reflected on their previous performance at the Smart Financial Centre, promising a richer sound for this show. They invited the audience to sing along to “Mr. Vampire”, enhancing the communal feel of the night. The stunning and ethereal visuals accompanying “SWIPE” were a visual treat, blending modern and retro elements seamlessly.
The group’s dance breaks were nothing short of amazing, showcasing continuous dancing while singing, a testament to their relentless energy and skill. When they performed their hit “WANNABE”, the crowd’s excitement hit a peak, reflecting the song’s popularity.
An outfit change into all-white sets prefaced solo performances by each member, each bringing a unique flair and new stage sets with different props. From oversized leather jackets to sparkly tops and pleated skirts, the individuality of each member shone through.
For the third act, ITZY returned in matching silver sets to perform “UNTOUCHABLE”, with the audience lighting up their light rings in rainbow colors. “Texas is so hot, your energy is hotter!” Yuna exclaimed, feeding off the crowd’s enthusiasm. “Sugar Land MIDZYs, y’all are so sweet!”, Chaeryeong commented as well. Even the background dancers had a moment to shine with their own number.
The final outfit change into white sparkly sets led to the performances of “Not Shy”, “CAKE”, and “SNEAKERS”, with the audience singing and dancing along. The encore saw the members in tour tees, each styled differently, connecting with fans on a more personal level.
A special segment before the encore featured MIDZYs, the fans, dancing and singing, showcasing their dedication and passion. In a heartwarming gesture, Sugar Land fans presented a special video gift to ITZY, welcoming them back warmly.
ITZY expressed their gratitude and fun had during the show before closing with two final songs including a new rendition of their debut song “DALLA DALLA”, leaving the crowd with memories of a night filled with electrifying performances and genuine connections.
