Houston’s own, Keshi, sold out House of Blues June 24, and after seeing last night’s performance it’s clear why. Keshi began his career as a Soundcloud artist which later evolved into him getting a record deal. His fear of missed opportunities exceeded his fear of failure which pushed him to leave nursing behind and pursue his passion for music full-time. A lot of artists can sing on a record, but can they really sing during live performances? Keshi can! His distant falsettos and big-hearted guitar balladry will have your heart melting at the sound of his voice. He performed hits off his new album GABRIEL such as the fan favorites “Hell/Heaven” and “Westside”. He also performed old favorites like “drunk”, where he really showed off his guitar playing skills. Fans filled every space available in the venue and were very responsive to his music. To new listeners, Keshi can best be described as an R&B boy band merged into one person. What a way to wrap up his Heaven Hell tour!
