Houston Dynamo FC Dominate Against Real Salt Lake Securing a 4-1 Victory

On Saturday, September 14, 2024, Houston Dynamo FC played a fast and aggressive match against their Western Conference challengers Real Salt Lake ultimately securing a 4-1 final victory at Shell Energy Stadium.

Houston forward Amine Bassi was first to score after an exciting 27 minutes of gameplay. The French-Moroccan footballer found the back of the net after taking advantage of a loose ball in the box; the player’s third goal of the season.

Bassi’s opening goal was followed by a beautiful setup from Héctor Herrera who passed the ball to defender Griffin Dorsey for his third goal of the season.

Real Salt Lake got a lucky break when an accidental own goal from Houston defender Erik Sviatchenko began the second half. After the rapid play and unceremonious goal, the audience was noticeably confused when the scoreboard was updated.
