Jason Aldean took much care of Houston last night, kicking off his Full Throttle Tour 2025 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. It was a night that felt like a summer-long party taking place in someone’s backyard with good BBQ, cold brews, and great vibes.
Celebrating 20 years on the road, Aldean reminded fans why he’s become one of the most reliable names in modern country. He opened with “Hicktown,” the 2005 single that launched him into the spotlight, before running through a powerhouse set of hits. From sing-along anthems like “My Kinda Party” and “Dirt Road Anthem” to his Grammy-nominated ballad “If I Didn’t Love You,” the setlist was stacked! He even dug deeper into his catalog, pulling out older songs that longtime fans, like myself, were thrilled to hear again.

The energy around the pavilion was undeniable. Aldean’s blend of country grit and rock edge kept the crowd locked in all night, while his no-frills approach to storytelling hit home with every lyric. The production added plenty of punch with big lights and visuals, but the focus never left Aldean’s commanding stage presence and the crowd that knew every word.
Of course, no country concert would be complete without the tailgating chaos beforehand, and Houston showed up in full force. From rowdy pre-show parties to fans belting out lyrics with more enthusiasm than memory, the night carried that classic country concert atmosphere that feels part festival, part family reunion. Cowboy hats, shiny belt buckles and leather cowboy boots flooded the crowd as everyone assembled in unison for this sort of gathering with Aldean as the vibe curator for the night.
As the Full Throttle Tour 2025 barrels across North America, Aldean proves once again why he’s earned his spot as ACM’s Artist of the Decade and a three-time Entertainer of the Year. With international dates already lined up for 2026, his momentum isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
Jason Aldean’s show was a celebration of two decades of music, a showcase of staying power, and a reminder that when Aldean takes the stage, it’s always full throttle.
