Eager fans packed the seats of the Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land on Saturday, October 8th to see the South Korean boy band known as Enhypen. This was the fourth stop on their Manifesto world tour, their first ever tour outside of South Korea. Even before the seven boys took the stage, you could feel the energy in the room from fans all over the Houston area. Several music videos played on the screens before they took the stage, but once they did, the energy level in the room was kicked up to eleven. Each and every song ranged in their discography, from ‘One In A Billion’ (2022 single and 8th song of the show) to ‘Given-Taken’ (from their 2020 album Border: Day One and 1st song of the show).
Between every third or fourth song, the group changed outfits and took time to talk to the fans and tell them how much they appreciated each and every one. “The way you cheer louder than we sing gives us confidence to make this concert perfect,” and “This is our fourth show, it gets better every time,” were just a couple of the things the group said to show their appreciation. Even when they were not on stage, they had a video play to keep the energy level up and continuing through the entire performance. The choreography for each song was in sync across all seven members, and the visuals helped make you feel like you were in their music videos.
They had confetti and ball cannons, and even sang happy birthday to one of the fans. When all was said and done, they had an amazing show that is sure to bring them back to Houston on their next tour.
