Em Beihold Brings the Good Vibes to Houston

With her inaugural headline tour, “Maybe Life is Good,” Em Beihold showed Houston her chops at Warehouse Live on March 22, 2024. Stepping into the spotlight after sharing stages with soulful artists like King Princess and Lewis Capaldi, Em Beihold proved with her first tour that she’s a star in her own right, and the show was a testament to perseverance and raw talent.

South African musician Will Linley opened the show with his fusion of infectious beats and heartfelt lyrics. Viral hits like “Last Call” were the perfect way to get the crowd pumped up for Beihold to take the stage.

Beihold started her set with “Roller Coasters Make Me Sad,” “1234,” and “Too Precious,” the songs that the crowd was belting back at her. She made sure to kneel down to share the mic with giddy front-row fans several times to reward their energy and affection and keep the momentum going.

It was when she was about to start a job as a PA on ‘The Voice’ that her hit track, “Ground Hog Day,” caught fire on TikTok and got her signed.

After performing that viral sensation, she went on with songs like “City of Angels,” “Spiderman,” and “Pedestal.” She stopped to chat about what she likes to call “late night existenshies,” sharing how she’ll probably never get to be president, which led her to write the song “Extraordinary.” Toward the middle of her set, Beihold invited Leah Leach up on stage to accompany her in singing “Until I Found You,” a viral duet she’s featured in with Stephen Sanchez. Following it up, she performed “Shiny New Things,” another one of her smash hits.

The night ended with the tour’s namesake, “Maybe Life is Good,” followed by the highly anticipated “Numb Little Bug.” The crowd was singing along until the very end. Beihold’s entire show exuded a blend of gratitude and confidence, embodying the spirit of an artist who has found her voice.
