After the band’s successful tour run last year at Smart Financial Centre, Jesus Ortiz Paz returns to Houston, TX, keeping his word and packing up yet another show at the Toyota Center for the “No Te Enamores” tour last night.
JOP, the charismatic lead singer, made a dramatic entrance, running through flames in a bright red outfit to the striking sounds of the trombone, playing the notes of “Igualito A Mi Apa.” As he reached the end of the stage, JOP took a moment to absorb the sight of the massive crowd, setting the tone for an unforgettable night.
Fuerza Regida’s setlist was a perfect blend of their biggest hits “Mi Terre CLN” and new tracks “Sabor Fresa“, and “Que Onda” feating Chino Pacas, each performed with high energy. The audience was engaged from start to finish, dancing, singing along, and cheering loudly. We even got their rendition of classic songs of “Desvelado” by Bobby Pulido, and “Hey There Delilah” by The Plain White Tee’s.
The interaction between JOP and the crowd created an atmosphere of pure celebration throughout the venue. Taking a break to give their deepest appreciation, JOP told the Houston fans, “Without Houston, Fuerza Regida would be nothing, and you guys mean the world to us.”
We got a special guest appearance from producer Tiagz, who came out to perform their song “TACATA” feating El Alfa, and closed out the show with “Harley Quinn” featuring Marshmello. As confetti showered down, the air was filled with an upbeat feeling.
Fuerza Regida’s performance in Houston was not just a concert but a full-on sensory experience that left a lasting impression on everyone who attended. This was my second time seeing them perform, and they continue to be one of my favorite bands out there. It is a show you do not want to miss next time they come back to Houston. I wonder where they will play next.
