The legendary Daddy Yankee has announced his retirement, he’s currently on tour one last time playing through his hits and his latest album of chart toppers, Legendaddy.
La Última Vuelta World Tour stopped at Houston’s Toyota Center on September 16 and had the sold out arena on their feet dancing for two hours straight. Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez, known professionally as Daddy Yankee, brought out all the stops for his last go-around, with an enormous stage made of screens that filled Toyota Center from side to side, the mood was properly set for each and every song. Songs that included features from other recording artists included newly recorded videos that played behind the singer and his dancers as if they were there performing too. Non-stop pyro help set the scenes, from an exploding Airplane to a volcano on a tropical island, almost every song had pyrotechnics to help set the mood.
Mid show an inflatable Daddy Yankee as tall as the video wall appeared and danced along with the beat for the rest of the show. Dancers changed outfits and held props to go with each song, giant peaches appeard in their hands for (Bonbon?) and large gas tanks that shot out flames for Gasolina.
