Cuco brings his new opulent “Fantasy Gateway” sound to 713 Music Hall

Omar “Cuco” Banos, who is well know for his bedroom-pop sound paired with his latino heritage, performed at 713 Music Hall last night for the second to last stop on his Fantasy Getaway Tour. He has become an artist fans can relate to because of how vulnerable and emotional his music can be. With his newfound fame, Cuco lays it all out on the table with his second album, Fantasy Gateway. In this album Cuco wrestles with finding himself in the spotlight as he has remained in solitude for most of his musical career. He experiments with elaborate electric sounds as he vocalizes his inner battles. During his performance he brought those same emotions onto the stage. He serenaded his fans with a trumpet solo for his hit “Amor de Siempre” that held everyone by their hearts. At a Cuco show you can’t help but to let go and let your emotions have a safe space to release themselves at. He also gave the crowd a dreamy guitar solo to pair with his alternative-psych-cumbia single “Under the Sun”. He stays true to his Mexican roots by always finding ways to incorporate his Mexican culture in his lyrics or production. Cuco is definitely a new artist to add to your playlist if you’re looking for music that can resonate with the soul.
