Thursday, June 8th at Houston’s House of Blues was a packed crowd of fans eager to experience a show of Sci-fi themed Progressive Rock group Coheed And Cambria was set to play to a sold out crowd their album “No World For Tomorrow” in its entirety! The band has had a few running tours where they play the album in its entirety.
The bands fan base is incredibly huge and its incredibly tight group of camaraderie and Houston’s sold out show had a vibe that was insanely warm and close. The room jam packed with people eager for the band to walk the stage.
The band had announced they were embarking on a tour to celebrate the album, but due to Covid it was cancelled so the anticipation for tonight’s show was clear in the audience. When the band hit the stage, eruptions of applause began as the intro track began with its acoustic and soft sound, the following song set the energy for the night.
Through out the set for the album No World For Tomorrow the bands stage presence is phenomenal throughout the performance. Guitarist Claudio Sanchez and Travis Stever’s chemistry is right on with the musicians trading solo spots through the songs. Front-man Claudio also has a great help of the crowd singing every chant and chorus to the set list!
Following the album run through they performed tracks off the newest album, A Window of the Waking Mind, it was really a time for Drummer Josh Eppard to shine with his hard hitting and unique style of drum playing that was impeccable and precise going perfectly with great bass lines complimenting the sound and really creating the backbone of the night for the performance.
Coheed and Cambria shoes really are a unique and amazing experience to witness and you could really feel the fans emerging themselves in the music and getting deeper than just a concept album.
