In blazing hot heat and with rhythm and blues, day one of Austin City limit’s Weekend Two comes to an end.
Hozier’s last night on tour in the U.S.
To start the festival weekend strong, headliner Hozier brought energy and cadence to the T-Mobile stage. The performance also marks the last night of the U.S. Tour for the Irish singer. Hozier has been touring his latest album, Unreal Unearth: Unending since 2023.
Hozier started his set with a power-packed performance of “Nobody’s Soldier ” and followed it up with “Jackie and Wilson” and “Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene.”
With stunning visuals and vocals, Hozier serenaded the crowd with his songs, “Cherry Wine,” “Like Real People Do” and “Unknown/Nth.” He also performed “Francesca” and “Movement.”
To end his set, Hozier performed “Nina Cried Power” and “Take me to Church” and urged every festival-goer to use their voice for goodness, peace and security and spoke out against hate, a staple at every Hozier concert.

Luke Combs
Over on the other side of the park, Luke Combs was headliner on the American Express stage, where he sang “Beautiful Crazy,” “Hurricane” and ended his set with “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma.”
Role Model brings out Lizzy McAlpine as his “Sally”
Tucker Pillsbury, who performs under the stagename, Role Model, brought out diva energy for his second ever performance at ACL.
Through the set, the singer-songwriter kept the crowd on their toes, singing and dancing with his songs, “Look at That Woman,” “Play Video” and “Superglue.” He was able to slow the crowd and entrance them with his songs “Some Protector” and “The Longest Goodbye.”
As is tradition for Role Model’s shows, either someone from the crowd or a celebrity, is “Sally” from his lively song “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.” He brought out Lizzy McAlpine, who he has a song with, as his “Sally” to close off his time at ACL.

Artists such as Dr. Dog, Empire of the Sun, Cage the Elephant, The Favors and Rilo Kiley were among some of the other artists who performed on Friday.
