The well-known Mexican regional artist, Ivan Cornejo, made a stop in Houston to deliver two back to back sold out shows at 713 Music Hall. Thousands of fans erupted in cheers as Ivan made his entrance on stage. He commenced his performance with “Esta Dañado,” a popular single that went viral from his debut project, “Alma Vacia.” Dedicated fans couldn’t resist joining in to sing along to this one. One fan managed to get flowers passed to the front row to get handed to Ivan. Ivan grateful for the kind gesture, performed a song while holding the flowers.
An Ivan Cornejo show is an emotional journey so “Terapia” (Therapy) is certainly a fitting name for this tour. His songs, inspired by his own heartbreak experiences, deeply resonate with the audience, reflecting on their own past experiences and deeply connecting with him through his music.
Ivan noticed a couple in the crowd and celebrated their love by inviting them on stage to join him in singing “Hasta La Muerte.” A song in which Ivan is featured with Eslabon Armado about dedicating their love and adoration to that special someone until the end of time. Halfway through the song, the boyfriend took the opportunity to surprise his girlfriend with a heartfelt proposal, making the concert even more memorable.
