Apocalyptic Awe. Concert of Choas. Dramatic and Dynamic. So much could be said of The Weeknd’s performance on Sunday in the heart of Dallas.
Under the perpetual glow of a red supermoon suspended from the rafters, coupled with and rhythmic, palpitous hum emitting from the speakers, AT&T Stadium could do nothing but nervously wait by until the show began.
Then, he arrived. The Deacon of Darkness.
There he was, rising from below the gallows to a sold out crowd in Arlington. Dawning a mask that resembled something of a hybrid Phantom of the Opera meets Halloween, the master of ceremonies welcomed us with a voice that only a true fan could appreciate. If you enjoyed the Weeknd’s latest project, Dawn FM, the show was a living manifest of that. If you weren’t in attendance, you missed an experience of a lifetime!
