Amidst screams of excitement, Amaarae took center stage, dressed in an edgy red leather ensemble that beautifully matched her Ghanaian makeup and hairstyle. She began the night with “Angels in Tibet,” a track from her recent album, Fountain Baby. This song garnered global recognition largely thanks to its popularity on social media, especially TikTok. Notably, Latrice and Kristen from the international dance group JAM REPUBLIC choreographed a routine for the track, which went viral on the platform after being featured on the South Korean show Street Woman Fighter. “Angels in Tibet” now stands as one of Amaarae’s most streamed songs.

Amaarae wasn’t alone on stage. Accompanied by a guitarist and a drummer, she elevated her performances to another level, and the crowd couldn’t resist dancing and grooving to the artist’s infectious beats and silky smooth vocals. The artist treated the Houston crowd to more songs from Fountain Baby including “Princess Going Digital,” “Reckless & Sweet,” and “Water From Wine,” among many others. She also performed songs from her 2020 EP THE ANGEL YOU DON’T KNOW such as “FEEL A WAY,” “FANCY,” and “LEAVE ME ALONE,” which Amaarae’s fans sang word for word at the top of their lungs.

The show unfortunately came to an end, but Amaarae made the last moments of her show extra special by saving her top hit for last. Amaarae’s live rendition of her 2020 track “SAD GIRLZ LUV MONEY” featuring Moily had the entire venue singing along with the artist for the final encore stage. This is Amaarae’s most streamed track with over 400 million streams on Spotify and over 30 million views on YouTube.

As Amaarae’s musical journey continues, we eagerly anticipate more of her work in the years ahead, and we’re optimistic about her return to Houston. Don’t miss the chance to experience one of Amaarae’s upcoming performances! Click here for more information.
